Montana Trip
July - August 2002
We took a week auto trip to Glacier National Park, Montana, Nothern Idaho and surrounding areas in the last week of July and first week of August. We flew from Sacramento to Spokane, and then drove. The principal reason for the trip was to do some fossil exploring in the really small (really small) town of Clarkia, ID about 60 miles NE of Moscow, Idaho and finally seeing Glacier National Park after two other previous attempts many years ago. Glacier was well worth the wait with its spectacular mountain scenery.

Sacramento airport upon return from out trip.
Our luggage is in there somewhere! Well, OK.
Actually, it's some artwork at the airport.

Beautiful meadow and mountain scenery outside of Moscow, ID

The trip: Spokane, Clarkia (near Moscow), Coeur d'Alene, Kalispell, Glacier NP,
Waterton Park, Helena and back to Spokane
